Taking the design theme from the desktop software and the smartphone app, the web portal has been rebuilt from the ground up to include a new user interface that is clean, simple and intuitive. Viewing, streaming or downloading your backups or briefcase from any computer couldn’t be easier.

The portal has a modern look an feel with the simple menu on the left. The devices link shows you a simple overview of your backups. For customers on Pro and Business packages your Briefcase is easy find and simple to browse. Also all account details and options are in one simple account tab.

There are big improvements to the sharing options making it simpler than ever to make a Briefcase file available to a co-worker, friends or family. Open the file you would like to share, click ‘share’ and then you are presented with either a public link which makes the file available to anyone or a private link which is password protected and is emailed to your selected recipients.

In depth editing

Edit files through the portal with Pixlr for images and Zoho for documents. This is really useful when using a computer which doesn’t have this key software installed. This feature can save a huge amount of time when you need to make on the go edits to documents without having to download and re-upload new versions of the file being edited.

Your devices

And finally deleting unwanted backups just got even easier. Now you can just go to the ‘Devices’ tab and click the ‘X’ next to the device you would like to remove.

Livedrive have made improvements to a web portal that was already really good by adopting the same themes in the new control panel and the smartphone apps. The design is simple, intuitive and allows a hassle-free experience when managing your backups, accessing your files or streaming your content.

Haven’t got Livedrive yet? You can read more about unlimited online storage and backup, or how useful the Briefcase is, or how there are so many features in the Livedrive for Business package that the list goes on for a number of screens!
