We believe in choice, and we know that different customers have different needs when it comes to router hardware. That’s why we offer a choice of FRITZ!Box router models. File Sanctuary broadband customers get significant discounts on these routers, and they’re yours to keep forever. We don’t lock them to our network either, so if you want to use them with a different ISP in future, you’re free to do so — although we hope you’ll be delighted with our service!
Setup couldn’t be simpler: just plug them in to your File Sanctuary broadband, wait 10 minutes, and they’ll set themselves up automatically with your broadband connection details.

As of June 1st, 2025, Openreach now only allow Standard installs for residential addresses. Installations at commercial addresses MUST use Premium or Advanced.
There are three install types available on the Openreach network. They are:
Standard
A standard install is suitable for a consumer home (simple path to installation). An engineer will visit the premises and will:
Premium
A premium install is suitable for a consumer home, a small office, and simple retail shops. It covers all the Standard features, along with the following additional points:
Advanced
An advanced install is suitable for medium to large offices, large retail locations, railway stations, airports, schools, care homes, fire stations, etc. This option is intended for commercial or industrial installations with complex cabling requirements. It covers all the Standard and Premium features, along with the following additional points:
We strongly recommend using one of our FRITZ!Box routers, as they’re battle-tested and we know that they work well on our network to get the best possible speeds. If you use our routers, our support team can also provide extended support for your router even as far as helping you with things such as changing your Wi-Fi settings, configuring port forwarding, helping you set up your VoIP service, and more.
You might have bought your own router or have one from your existing ISP, and you may be wondering if you can use it on our network. We offer a standards-based service and we don’t do anything to block third party routers. Provided your existing router is compatible with the technical standards relevant to the service you’re ordering from us, then you may find your existing router will work with our services. There are some caveats however:
FTTP Activation (18 month contract)If you don't have Openreach FTTP yet, but would like to order it, we'll install it for you for free, subject to a 18 month minimum contract.

FTTP Migration (12 or 18 month contract)If you wish to migrate your Openreach FTTP service to us from another Openreach FTTP provider, there is no charge to do so, subject to a 12 or 18 month minimum contract. Cease ChargeIf you cease a broadband connection our carrier applies this fee to disconnect FTTP service. You do not have to pay this if you're simply switching to another provider (unless that provider is using LLU). You do have to pay this if you cease your FTTP service, or if your new provider is using LLU.

Early Termination Fee (12 month contract)If you break your contract before the minimum term, an Early Termination Fee is chargeable, in addition to the remaining balance of your contract term.
