Your FRITZ!Box user interface can be protected from unauthorized access with a password. The password can be changed at any time as needed.

  1. Visit http://fritz.box or http://192.168.178.1 to open the FRITZ!Box user interface
  2. Login with your current admin password
  3. Click on System on the left hand sidebar menu
  4. Click on FRITZ!Box Users on the left hand sidebar menu
  5. Click on the ✏️ (edit) button next to the default user (named like fritz1234)
  6. Enter a strong password. Do not use a password that you already use for other services, such as an email account, Amazon, Facebook, or Google.
  7. Click on Apply to save the settings
